Alumni Home Coming

As widely expected, the Ateneo de Davao Grand Alumni Homecoming – Davao’s most eagerly awaited yearly alumni gathering cum retro-party, will be held at the partiest place in town – at The Venue. This year’s silver jubilarians and homecoming host, the Ateneo de Davao High School Batch ‘80, led by their class president, Rico Oñate, formalized the arrangement last Friday, November 12, by signing the contract with Gene Bangayan – General Manager of The Venue. The short and simple contract-signing ceremony was held at the coffee shop of Holiday Spa witnessed by members of Batch ‘80 as well as by key officers of Holiday Entertainment & Music Corporation.

This early, the batch has secured the support of top local and national companies San Miguel Beer, Coca-Cola, Cocolife, Philippine Airlines, Nenita’s Quality Foods, Pearl Farm Beach Resort, Anflocor, Aldevinco, Marco Polo Hotel, Lapanday Foods, Premium Wines & Spirits, ATR Kim Eng, Lispher Inn, Taps, A-1 Micro Finance, and APM Advertising to sponsor the event. With more corporate sponsors expected to come on board in the coming weeks, the event is fast shaping up to be the party of the year. The batch has already tapped Molave Junction, a popular local band with mostly Atenean-musician members, to play 60’s Rock N’ Roll music and The Music Authority who will play 70’s and 80’s disco music. The batch is calling on their fellow Ateneans to clear their personal schedules on the night of December 30 so they can all attend this year’s alumni homecoming.
