AdDU Alumni Affairs ePost # 102-A: 2005

Greetings from the Ateneo de Davao !

Celebrants during the Mass were (l-r): Fr. Renato C. Ocampo S.J., Alumni Director and University Chaplain; Fr. Antonio S. Samson S.J., AdDU President; Fr. Albert E. Alejo S.J., Rector of the Davao Jesuit Community; and Fr. Archimedes A. Lachica S.J. of the Theology Division and Campus Ministry. It was a festive two weeks here at the AdDU and Davao City! August 11 to 13 was the AdDU Fiesta and as many of you know, August 15 to 21 was the Kadayawan Festival. Thank God we had a violence-free double celebration.

As promised, here are some pictures of these two lively and fun-filled activities for you.

This year's AdDU fiesta had the theme "Inang Maria, Gabay Natin Patungo kay Hesus sa Banal na Eukaristiya." "Mother Mary, Our guide to Jesus in the Blessed Eucharist."

Below are pictures of Day 1 of the AdDU Fiesta. The day started with a parade of the students along the streets within the vicinity of the AdDU Jacinto campus. Our AdDU students were wearing T-shirts with the color of their respective divisions. The Social Sciences and Education students were in in Gray; Business Administration in sky blue; Humanities in red; Engineering in black; Accounting in yellow; Computer Science in lavander; Natural Sciences in Green; and, of course, Nursing in white. The diversity of these colors became more evident when the students, after the parade gathered at the covered courts for a Eucharistic celebration with the AdDU President, Fr. Antonio S. Samson, S.J. as main celebrant.

More news and pictures of the AdDU fiesta in our succeeding ePosts. Our sincere thanks to the staff of the Kalasag Yearbook Office for sharing their photos of the AdDU Fiesta.

with prayers for you all,

Fr. Renato C. Ocampo, S.J.
