What is the Blue Knight Directory?
The Blue Knight Directory is a printed and an online directory of the Ateneo de Davao High School Alumni. Both editions display the business card of an alumnus or alumna for a fee.

The online edition is a publicly viewable and open – access website using the domain name www.blueknightdirectory.com. It was launched middle of last year.

The 1st print edition was published in December 1999. The 2nd edition will be published this year containing all the registrants of the online edition.


Who owns the Directory?
The Ateneo de Davao High School Class of 1980 or ADDU HS Class 1980 Inc., a non-stock non-profit corporation, publishes the print edition of the Blue Knight Directory and owns the website as well as the domain name www.blueknightdirectory.com.
Why come out with the Directory?

The need for an alumni directory has been a long and persistent clamor within the alumni community.

In 1999, the Ateneo de Davao High School Class of 1980 or Batch ’80 decided to gather the business cards of their fellow high school alumni and offered to publish the collection for a fee to raise funds for their Class’ 20th Anniversary Reunion. The result was the 1st print edition of the Blue Knight Directory.

Last year, as the class began to raise funds for its Silver Jubilee Celebration, Batch ‘80 launched the online edition of the Blue Knight Directory and will publish the 2nd print edition this year in time for the Annual Alumni Homecoming.


Why were the college alumni/alumnae excluded in the Directory?

The Blue Knight Directory was not published to exclude College alumni and alumnae. Batch ’80 simply focused on the High School alumni first given its meager resources and limited manpower. When it attains critical mass and its finances and resources improve, it will coordinate with the University’s Alumni Affairs Office and the Alumni Association to expand the online edition next year.

 

How much would it cost to register in the Directory?

The registration fee is P800.00. For those with no business cards or for those requiring corrections and/or modifications on their card, an additional fee of P100.00 will be charged or a total of P900.00.

 

What do I get when I register?
In addition to being listed in the Directory, you will get a copy of the printed edition. The 2nd printed edition will be published this year and will be distributed on or before the Alumni Homecoming in December.

You will also be given a slot in the online edition linked to the site’s query system where users can search and check you out by your family name, batch, company name or name of organization and your business or profession. Your slot will be uploaded to the site within a few days upon registration and the information will be available through the Internet 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

How often do you plan to publish the print editions?

Batch ’80 has no definite plans on future print editions except the 2nd edition that will be published this year for the Class’ 25th Anniversary. However, the batch will offer the opportunity to other batches for their fund raising activities

 

How long do you plan to operate the online edition’s website?

While the Class is committed to the project and regards it as its contribution to the Ateneo de Davao Alumni Association, Batch ’80 will continue to operate the website only for as long as it remains financially viable and useful to the alumni community.
