Fr. Martinez inducts the New Alumni Board of Trustees for CY 2004

Ateneo de Davao University President, Fr. Edmundo M. Martinez S.J., inducted the new members of the Board of Trustees of the Ateneo de Davao University Alumni Association last January 27, 2004. The simple ceremony was held at the President’s Conference Room attended by no less than the Alumni Affairs Director, Fr. Renato Ocampo S.J..

After the induction, Fr. Martinez briefed the Board on the University’s thrusts and programs for the year highlighting the need for the Alumni to support the University’s scholarship program. He also announced to the Board that the University will soon open a Business Convention Center equipped with state-of-the-art multi-media projection screens and audio-visual systems which the alumni community can avail of for a modest fee. A short but open exchange of ideas between the Board and Fr. Martinez followed and a late afternoon merienda was served courtesy of the Alumni Affairs Office.

The event was graced by two former ADDU-AA presidents Dr. Jack Estuart (HS Class ’79) and Mr. Dennis Sto. Domingo (HS Class ’78). Mr. Sto. Domingo was the Alumni President last year and still sits in the Board as an ex-officio member while Dr. Estuart was the President in CY 2002. The staff of the ADDU Alumni Affairs Office led by Ms. Melfa Tizon also came in full force to witness the event.
