Blue Knight
Directory Online Edition Launched
The Ateneo de Davao High School
Class of 1980 recently launched the Online Edition of the
Blue Knight Directory. The directory, which first came out
in print in 1999, is an open-access publicly-viewable online
directory of high school Ateneans grouped by batch and arranged
on first-come-first-serve basis. It is accessible at www.blueknightdirectory.com
where one can now register online. The domain name was acquired
early this year by Class Secretary Larry Baarde and will be
managed professionally by Digilution
Computer Services, a local e-commerce pioneer, owned by
fellow Atenean Rex Mayo of ADDU HS Class ’83.
Once fully operational in
July, the site will be database-driven and, therefore, search-capable.
Visitors can search the directory by batch, by family name,
by company name or organization, and by business or profession.
It will be updated regularly as registrations come in and
will be spiced with news and articles featuring prominent
and not so prominent members of the alumni community.
Unlike the first edition,
when registrants had to wait for their copy to check their
listing, the online edition will display their card and picture
together with those of their classmates’ within days
of their registration. It will be displayed on a screen format
of five rows by three columns or fifteen business cards per
screen-page. A printed version containing all the registrants
of the online edition will be published and distributed next
year when the Class celebrates its 25th anniversary.
The Blue Knight Directory
is a year-long effort of the Class to gather business cards
for posting at www.blueknightdirectory.com. The class is calling
on fellow Ateneans to support them on this project. For those
who do not wish to register online, registration forms are
available at the Ateneo de Davao Alumni Affairs Office (Jacinto
Campus), Skintimate Facial and Skin Care Center (Villa-Abrille
Bldg., J.P. Laurel Avenue) Digilution
Computer Services (Marietta Bldg., Jacinto Street) and
at Promark Books and Magazines (Sandawa Main Office and at
G/F Victoria Plaza Door 3, Bajada). |
